GRAND KNIGHT’S MESSAGE
Brother Knights, Ladies, and Friends;
want to thank you all for the support you have given me this past year in making this council the best. Thank you for your vote of confidence in me by re-electing me as your Grand Knight for fraternal year 1998-1999.
or members of this Council who do not know me and my family, my name is Fernando Galvan, AKA "Fred". I work for First Advantage Mortgage Corporation, in Altamonte Springs. My wife, Aurora, works at Dillard’s Department Store at the Florida Mall. We are members of St. John Vianney Parish. We have been married 31 years. We have three children two sons, Calvin 29, Patrick 28, and one daughter, Celina 25, and three grandchildren, ages 4, 3, and 2.
irst and foremost, we will put "CHARITY", "UNITY", "FRATERNITY", and "PATRIOTISM" on our agenda, because that’s what the Knights of Columbus are all about. Our elections are now in the past, so let’s look forward and work together this coming year. We have a busy schedule.

would like to thank all the Knights who have accepted positions as directors and chairmen for 1998-1999. We have a lot of work cut out for us this year. We will be looking for ways to raise money. To do this we will need a lot of brothers to come forward and help.
ust keep your focus on why we do the things we do. "CHARITY". Helping people in need. Let’s focus on the brotherhood and friendships, and get back to the basics.
ere is an article we would like to share. If you want to be a friend, you must allow the other person the freedom of his own ideas and feelings. As a friend you are not asked to live the other’s life, but you are asked to understand the other’s way of living, however that might be. As a friend you don’t have to agree, but you must be patient.
