Fur-Ever Friends

Time: 15 minutes
For this layout, I simply cropped a little off of the sides of the two bottom pictures, and rounded the corners with a corner-rounder. For color, I added little triangles of paper behind two of the pictures (althought, it is a little difficult to see here.) The title, "'Fur'-Ever Friends" is written with a red ZIG writer, with dot-lettering. Dog stickers are from Mrs. Grossmans.
After I got the layout complete, it still looked a little stagnant, so I penciled in the tennis balls and dotted lines, and then went over it with a black pigment pen. I used a Marigold Color Box pigment ink stamp pad and a q-tip to color in the tennis balls. This final touch really made this page come alive.
A note about the triangle corners behind the pictures: this is a really fast way to add color, and much less-time consuming than matting your pictures. Simply cut a small square of paper (2-3" square) and then cut diagonally to form two matching triangles. Another bonus: uses less paper than matting. (In fact, you can usually do this from scraps.)
