LEONARD PENNARIO, pianist

Studied piano with Guy Maier and Olga Steeb; composition with Ernst Toch. Performed as a child but professional debut came in 1936 when he played the Grieg Piano Concerto with the Dallas Symphony Orchestra.

On 17 NOV 1943 he played the Liszt Piano Concerto No. 1 at his Carnegie Hall debut in NYC, with the NY Philharmonic Orchestra. His first European tour was in 1952. He has toured and taught extensively and recorded many popular classical recordings for Capitol Records.
