yummy yummy yummy yummy...

This recipe is from Pecan Cookery, compiled by the Chicago League of Smith College Clubs. I will hopefully be at Smith College at this time next year... (keep your fingers crossed for me!)

Pecan Balls

Ingredients:

makes about 32.

Directions:

  1. Preheat oven to 300 degrees and grease a cookie sheet or two.
  2. Cream butter. Add sugar and vanilla and blend.
  3. Add pecans and flour and mix.
  4. Roll dough into small balls and place on greased cookie sheet. (it helps if you grease your hands for this step.)
  5. Bake for 40 minutes at 300 degrees.
  6. While still hot, roll the balls in powdered sugar. Repeat when cold.

These are another Christmas tradition in my house, and are my favorite kind of cookies.
