2:16 PM 11/30/98 Forsaken 64 version 1.2 (updated 6/19/99) F.A.Q. created by me: Duel E. Lott _________________________________________________ "The game begins. There is carnage up ahead. And for the victor go honor and the spoils of war. For the vanquished there is only pain and humiliation. Failure is not an option, for the Forsaken." The best way to describe this game is that it is like a Descent clone. You can move 360 degress and have an arsenal of weapons at your disposal. Unlike Descent, however, you may have to do more than kill a bunch of enemies. For example, you may be required to defend something, plant a bomb, or gather crystals. ______________________________________ new to FAQ version 1.2 a "tips and tricks" section with one new tip! ______________________________________ new to Faq version 1.1: 8 new codes in the code section: Infinite Primary Infinite Energy Infinite Solaris Infinite Titans Infinite Secondary Freeze Enemies One-Hit Destruction Stealth Mode Hidden Area and enemy revealed in "Catch the Orb" level. You can only save twice on the easy path, once on the medium path, and none on the hard path. Options: these are the main options. there are more when you pause your game. SFX: default set to 100 Music: default set to 100 lives: 3 (you can set this to 5) controls: there are 4 configurations. Your TV and viewing preferences may vary. _____________________________________________________ Character description: the following are the characters you can use during gameplay. Each biker has its own unique skills and characteristics. Lokasanna:a fast accelerator. A little eratic on the handleing though. Foetoid: Nim Soo Sim: this one seems a little slow L.A.Jay: Clark Culvar: Earl Sleek: Trucker: Heavy on the armor protection! Beard: Like Lokasana but handles a little better. ____________________________________________________ Weapons and other Items Primary Weapons: Pulsar: you start out with this. It can be upgraded 2 more times with a Powerpod just like the others. Trojax:emitts a blue wave of energy when fired. you can hold down the fire button and charge it to do more damage. collecting powerpods decresses the charge time. Suss Gun: A short range weapon that fires rapidly. It also has a higher hit percentage than the other weapons Transpulse: A powerful weapon that push you back a little each time you fire it. the beams that shoot out can be reflected off of walls. Beam Laser: the most powerfull weapon in the game! using this too often will leave you defenseless so only fire in short bursts. Secondary Weapons: Mug: your basic missles. you start with these and you can pick up more if you run out. Scatter: these missle will do damage and take away your victum's items upon impact. these are just awesome for multiplayer games! ;-) Multiple Fire Rocket Launcher (MFRL): These are a faster version of the Mug and come in greater numbers. Solaris: this missle has a traking device and can hit a target around corners. Titan: an extremely powerful missle with a destructive blast radius. You can only pick up one so use it well! Gravgon: emits a blue energy field that traps and holds the enemy so you can incur more damage on the hapless victom. Purge Mine: dropped behind you. These will damage a player when run into. Quantum mine: these give off a blast radius when hit or destroyed by weapons. Pine Mine: a "smart mine" that shoots missles at the enemy but ignores the person who launched it. Powerups: Weapon Energy: refill your weapon's energy Suss-Gun Ammo: special ammo for the Suss Gun Powerpod: weapon upgrade Golden Powerpod: limited max weapons and nitro. Shield: restores lost shield energy. Nitro: temporary burst in speed. a guage near the bottom right indicates how much you have left. Stealth Mantle: limited invisibilty Orbital: an extra firearm that "orbits" around your bike, increasing weapon power. Resnic Reanimator: a 1-up. only available in single player mode and extremely rare! Chaos Shield: limited invunrability. _____________________________________________________ _____________________________________________________ Single Player hints and Tips: Nuke: your first level. Beating this in a certain time determines the difficulty level you will play at. over 2 min. 30 sec.=easy path under 2 min. 30 sec=medium path under 1 min. 40 sec=hard path Easy path: Knowledge Base: find the bomb. Destroy Exogenon with your back against the door. plant bomb and fly ALL the way up to the top and head for the start point. Bio Dome: destroy all enemies. Kill the Head: Destroy Metatank. SAVE POINT! put in your memory pak now because you don't have much of an opportunity to save later! Manmek: destroy all enemies until Manmek's life guage appears on the bottom right. Hit him with a Titan and then stay behind his back and fire on him until he is near death. You should here the computer say "beacon activated". Go to the room where he came from and pickup the beacon. Stay alive until the beacon's timer has run out. Four Uneasy Pieces: Destroy all enemies in each area to pick up all 3 pieces (the boss has the 4th). If one of the pieces doesn't show up, that means you missed one. Temple: destroy all enemies. SAVE POINT! your final one for the easy path! Dreadnought: just like Manmek, you need to wear him down and pick up the beacon. My advise is to keep a safe distance from those weaker versions of Quantum Mines and keep hitting him with your transpulse weapon. Tube: destroy all enemies Death to the Invader: defend your Matrix at all costs! when the enemy count gets down to 40, an enemy bike will show up and try to destroy you! Medium path: Catch the Orb: You can pick up the fake Orb if you want to. The real factor in jumping to the hard path is finding Jo and defeating him before you destroy Cerebro. to find Jo: destroy MXX and find a door near the bottom of that area. If you destroy him, that door will unlock and you can push the keycard in order to open up the secret area near the beginning of the stage. Look in one of those rooms where you first saw Cerebro picking up the Orb to find the secret path to Jo! Alpha: Maldroid: Ship: your only save point here! Power Down: Save the drone: you protect a Drone that is trying to reach its destination. Battlebase: Ramoan: Hard Path: Defend the Power: Refinery: Sewer: A countdown to see how many enemies you destroy. If you get less than %60 you fall back down to the medium path. Stabilizers: Babalas: (note: NO save points on the hard path) :-( the medium and hard paths will eventually be updated. stay tuned. ___________________________________________________ Codes: this is the part you have been waiting for!
