Among these are Roy Rogers, who, although born in Cincinnati, lived most of his childhood here on Inskeep Road. His childhood home is still here.

Branch Rickeywho was recently named THE MOST INFLUENTIAL SPORTS FIGURE OF THE 20TH CENTURY by ESPN was also a Scioto County native He was one of the founders of Major League baseball and the man given credit for integrating major league baseball by making Jackie Robinson the first black professional baseball player.
Staying on the sports theme, Scioto County is also home to Larry Hisle and Al Oliver>
as well as Gene Tenace all professional baseball players.
Earl Thomas Conley , popular country singer is also a product of our county.
