Albert Camus used the mythical figure of Sisyphus to suggest that life is futile, and that we need a task like Sisyphus has in order to be happy. Albert Camus was a philosopher who has been called "existentialist". It looks to me Sisyphus has an obviously hopeless task, but this is an interesting little picture.
