March 17

The new album, Ocean Songs, is now due out on March 31st, just so you know.

Some time before March 17

Information on Mick Turner's album under the name of The Tren Brothers, and information on the new Dirty Three album, Ocean Songs, can most likely still be found here. I haven't heard the album yet, nor do I even know for sure if it's been released yet due to the fact that I haven't been able to make it to a record store in a while, but as soon as I hear it, I will probably write a review for this page.

Jim White and Mick Turner will appear on Cat Power's new album. The word from Gerard Cosloy (taken from the Matador Records newsletter):

"Cat Power- _TBA_ (a very common title around here), just finished at Sing Sing studios in Australia w/ special guests Mick Turner and Jim White of The Dirty Three. Chan just completed an Australian tour, and by the time we see her next, we'll have forgotten what she looks like. Probably September for this album, and for all you nosy types who want to know why it takes that long, it's because I have to personally manufacture each CD at home, one at a time (that's how we ended up with Michael Flatley on the "What's Up Matador" video)."
