Photographing is a hobby that I have done as from my youth, but with changing intensity. As our boys were young I did a lot of photographing and filming, but it decreased when they grew up and were not so willing any more to be photographed (e.g. when they had girlfriends). Now we have grandchildren and even my wife started to make photo's. Apart of our family we have a lot of interesting objects in this area: windmills, typical farmhouses, canals, flowers, flowerfields (crocusses, daffodils, tulips) etc.

In the winter, when there is snow, the scenery really is fascinating (not when you have to drive) and you can make nice photo's. Normally the spring, summer and autumn offer the most interesting moments to make pictures. In the spring, when nature is reborne, the flowers start to bloom and the lambs are a sign that spring really has arrived. In the early morning a blanket formed by fog can cover the land, only abt. 1 - 1.5 meters thick. You will see the head of cows "floating" on the fog. Then in the summer the summersports can start: sailing, swimming, windsurfing and all the other outdoor sports. Since The Netherlands are very flat (our highest point is 321 meters) we do a lot of cycling, which offers us the possiblity to get off the main ways into the country.
