Sets and effects for the earliest science fiction films did not have the verismo that was introduced later in the genre. Nevertheless, this moving image made quite an impression on the audiences of 1902. The film was (very) loosely based on a work by Jules Verne. the painfully lodged projectile contains a scientific expedition. Director georges melies. stars Georges Melies and Bleuette Bernon.
