I graduated from Wits University, after which I moved to Cape Town, where I worked for Parliament as a Hansard reporter. In addition to reporting debates of both Houses of Parliament (the National Assembly and National Council of Provinces), I also translated these speeches from English into Setswana, and vice versa. Furthermore, we translated various other parliamentary documents into African languages.
At the moment I do freelance translations from English into Setswana, and vice versa. My colleagues translate into the other SA official languages – Sesotho, Sepedi, isiZulu, isiXhosa, isiNdebele, Siswati, Xitsonga, Tshivenda and Afrikaans.
