HAIG POINT LIGHTHOUSE
Haig Point Lighthouse was built in 1873. It is a Victorian style house with a small light on the roof. It is now a privately owned bed and breakfast inn but the light still burns every night as an aid to navigation.
Haig Point Lighthouse is located on Daufuskie Island. There are several ferry services in Hilton Head that will take you to Daufuskie Island. We chose Adventure Cruises at Shelter Cove Harbour. It was a very enjoyable trip. Captain George of Adventure Tours knew we were going specifically to see the lighthouse so he got as close as he could so we could take pictures.
