HARBOUR TOWN LIGHTHOUSE
This is a facsimile lighthouse. It is 90 feet in height, red and white striped, and was built in 1970 as a symbol for the Sea Pines Plantation development. There is a good view of the harbor from the top.
The lighthouse stands at the entrance to the harbor, which is part of Sea Pines Plantation at Hilton Head SC. There is a $5 admission fee to Sea Pines Plantation where Harbour Town is located. The lighthouse is open to the public from 8:00am until dusk. Visitors can climb the stairs for a view of the harbor and a visit to the gift shop at the top.
