Over the last 30 years that I have been going to Jamaica, I mostly go to Negril. Over the years, the little fishing village at the mouth of the Negril River has gone from a small village of around 20 or so fishing families to a major tourist destination.
When you stand at the "round-a-bout", to your left is West End Road, to the right is the main beach road and behind you is the way to Sav-La-Mar.

This is the western tip of the island named Jamaica, in the West Indies.

The Blue Cave--what a cool place to stay--a castle by the sea. Large in size but not many rooms.Bring yourself and a couple of friends, rent the whole place and hold court and be your own king.

One person with a lot of spare cash,is building his own personal castle on the cliffs of Negril. Under construction about ten years now.

Xtabi resort. A romantic, cliffside resort with some amazing rooms hanging right off the cliff, and a really nice tiki bar and good food.

Kaisers cafe is under renovation. Kaisers was well known in the past for many a good reggae concert. It has been closed for about 5 years now, but it looks like maybe the concert days may soon be back. By the looks of the reconstruction, there will also be some new rooms to be had up here on cliff-side.

Mariners' Inn is a great place to stay if your a diver as they are a PADI resort.

--If you got the extra money, Tensing Pen is a really beautiful place to stay. Very private, very romantic, very nice mon !

Joseph Cave. This is one of my many favorate on the clffs. In the heat of the day, you'll probably find me down in the cave chillin' out with a Red Strip of two, playing with the tourists and their tour guides. I meet the most interesting people in the cave.
Getting chilly? Need some sun to warm up? Just jump in and swim out into the ocean and float a while.

Some people call them tree houses, some call them tower houses, I call them the cool-est. The "T" houses at Sam Sara have the best ventalation of any room in Negril. They stick out past the tree line and catch the sea breeze just as if your on a boat. No need for air conditioning here !
