THE   LITTLE   CHILD

Oft times…it has been said,
That we grow up too soon;
We get carried-away with daily life,
Rushing around…trying to make our fortune.

Somewhere…along the way,
We forgot how to have ‘fun’;
We got caught-up in the race,
And, forgot why we had run.

Where is THE LITTLE CHILD,
The one who used to play?
That one put on grown-up clothes,
And then, they walked away!

But, you know…they took that one,
They took THE LITTLE CHILD…inside;
And, when they forgot that one,
All of their life began to slide.

Things slide downward…when we,
Do not enjoy what we’re doing;
For sure…we need to work hard,
But, the ‘fun’ is in our choosing!

Remember how you used to be,
When life was ‘fun’ all day?
Well, we can make our work,
Be ‘fun’ in just the same way!

Let THE LITTLE CHILD…out,
Don’t take life so seriously;
Take the time to have ‘fun’,
Just like you did…previously!

Oh, come on now…you can do it,
There’s always time for a laugh…a smile;
Even in the most serious of occupations,
We can let out…THE LITTLE CHILD!

Our life will be so much richer,
And, we’ll be happier…too;
If THE LITTLE CHILD puts in an appearance,
Even though our body…grew!

Others will see and be blessed,
And, they won’t be able to contain it;
Then, in turn…they’ll pass it on,
That’s the thing to do…don’t quit!
