Maybe we hear it more,
Much more often…when we’re young;
But, it’s voice is never stilled,
With the people we’re among.
It’s a lesson that we learn,
And, we learn it early-on;
It will still be heard,
Long after we are gone.
PRACTICE MAKES PERFECT,
Yes, it does…for sure;
And, to learn it well and soon,
Is the only sure-cure.
We learn how to talk,
Then, it’s improved upon;
For we don’t say, “Mama”…“Dada” forever,
We add more words…all our life…long.
So many things to learn,
As we are growing up;
And, each new thing needs practice,
PRACTICE MAKES PERFECT…yup!
Do you want to be an athlete?
It doesn’t happen overnight;
Practice…practice…practice,
And, practice more…with all your might!
Perhaps a ballerina,
That’s what you want be;
Again…PRACTICE MAKES PERFECT,
We get nothing worthwhile…for free!
Even the easiest of jobs,
Require something…on our part;
Nobody’s born with those skills,
We just aren’t born…smart.
Yes, we have the potential,
But, to this…we must add;
All our lives…ever-learning,
PRACTICE MAKES PERFECT!
