My Espisito

Jesse Skinner writes:

"my espisito is a rocking pop band that started on August 3rd 1996. The first two band members were Adam Morano and Todd Hlusiak (both guitar/vocals), later joined by Jesse Skinner (bass) in late September '96, and Chris Thompson (drums) in early March '97. Around the end of March of '97, we released our first cassette, entitled "carnival of colors" (note the american spelling...) This Hi-Fi recording of the lads features all of our fresh and funky hits on one side, and 30 minutes of rough/experiemtal stuff that will blow your mind on the second side!"

band!

My Espisito was one of the defining bands of 1997 for us. Countless listens to their fabulous record along with many live shows made us all gaze upon the band with adoration through the long cold winter months. My Espisito live was an amazing thing, there were unforgetable moments such as their rendition of 'The Beautiful People' which had us all in tears laughing. There was the infamous 'Thompson slow-down' during a performence of 'Charm...' which put newly founded drummer, Chris Thompson in his place! carnival_of_colors

It was sad, sad news one fine summer's day in 1997 when the band announced their breakup. Barrie's music scene would never be the same again. Fortunately, we have our memories...and a lock of Jesse's hair which hangs proudly above the practice space entrance!
