Lewis is a multi-headed project created and directed by Craig Coles. Beginning as simply a solo acoustic act, eventually grew into a sonic, turbulant, noise/pop band which allowed Craig's creative, avant-garde ability to write incredible music, be seen.
In earlier releases, Lewis' songs would best be represented under folk/pop catagory. Craig's acoustic guitar was often accomanied by organ, percussion, piano, and whatever useful sounding objects were around him.
Subtley inspired by bands such as Half Japanesse, Jad Fair, Yo La Tengo and Bob Dylan, Lewis began a songwriting adventure which eventually led to the forming of a three-piece noise/pop band featuring Andy Lloyd on Drums, and Matt Parker on bass.
Lewis' second and most recent release Forest Oak is a 6 song EP, featuring the best song ever written, 'Everynight I Think'.
A collection of incredibly creative songs driven by
pop, folk, noise elements which make Lewis not only
one of the most refreshinly different bands around, but
also one of the most inspirational.
