The Rigby Family began in the New World in 1765 by a man named Isaac Rigby who was at that time the personal secretary of Edward the Duke of Kent. Isaac had 10 sons and one daughter: SAMUEL RIGBY B. 1793 JOHN RIGBY B. 1795 ISAAC RIGBY B. 1789 CHRISTINA ELIZABETH B.1801 - DIED YOUNG GEORGE THOMAS B. 1803 - DIED YOUNG EDWARD B. 1805 CHARLES HENRY B. 1807 PREVOST FREDERICK B. 1811 DOUGLAS GORDON RIGBY B.1813 THOMAS B. 1815 The family of C.H.Rigby continues to live in Nova Scotia to this day.
