in the epicenter
of my thoughts
i am unable to find a position
that surrenders my mind
from your silhouette
each time i sleep
each time i blink
i see your face before me
half-way hidden
by shadows
the sun drew upon your skin
the day we stopped
to observe the colors changing
falling from the tree
in your neighbor's yard
as your lips merged
with mine.
