Web page

At 4 am I was up making a web page for our laboratory, and at 8:25 catching the train, followed by a taxi to get to work. In the mail had been a document...green cover, why am I on this mailing list ?...with a history and description of the status of the Internet in Russia. Facinating.

I showed the 2 di residents (we now have a good rapport) my page, they made suggestions. I also learned that the Iowa indexing system IDIS was superior to the Silver Platter one that we are now using. I also took a few photos there.

All day I worked on improving the page, had Darin put it on our web page..still needs a lot of work...and by the end of the day, after working with some of my DI students was discouraged over how they had disliked the laboratory assignments, how little they thought they had gotten from them.

Diane picked up about 6...I spent the night at her house, and we talked a lot about distance learning and libraries as she finished her presentation for the program in Macon ..for Bigger. She is such a gracious hostess.

She had had a job interview that week with a corporate training facility..a company, international in scope, with an Atlanta headquarters, that goes into companies to see if they can recover money from overpaymentes. She started saying no one would report to her and she had reservations about the gal who would be her boss. The idea of interviewing sounded good, the salary about 50,000 sounded good, but it did not sound like a fit for her.

Beautiful spring day..dogwood, sunlight....

By the time a fell asleep my spirits were reviving.
