Lupus is an autoimmune illness for which there is no cure. There are estimated to be more people with Lupus than with AIDS, Cerebral Palsy, Multiple sclerosis, sickle-cell anemia and cystic fibrosis combined! Paradoxically, the general population is less likely to be familiar with Lupus than AIDS or any of the other illnesses mentioned above. There are many, many sites that provide information about Lupus. Please use the links provided to learn as much as you can. Information is empowering, both for lupus patients and their families and friends.
