Lupus is an autoimmune illness for which there is no cure. There are estimated to be more people with Lupus than with AIDS, Cerebral Palsy, Multiple sclerosis, sickle-cell anemia and cystic fibrosis combined! Paradoxically, the general population is less likely to be familiar with Lupus than AIDS or any of the other illnesses mentioned above. There are many, many sites that provide information about Lupus. Please use the links provided to learn as much as you can. Information is empowering, both for lupus patients and their families and friends. Listed below are a number of links, many of which contain within the site additional links. You could virtually surf Lupus Internet Resources all day, if you were so inclined. Feel free to look at My Story. I have learned a great deal since being diagnosed. About Lupus and about myself. If you want to email me, feel free to do this as well. I will respond promptly. I have done a great deal of research and have links to additional sites. If I can answer a question for you, or guide you to a source that can, then I will have given back just a small amount of the support and information that I have received from the "internet community".
