Events and activities sponsored by Beta chapter have been varied and of great impact on those they reach. Recently Beta chapter has appeared in the Hartford News in an article lauding a multi-cultural poetry reading centered around the idea of identity held in April of 1998.

*My Identity, personal reflection through poetry and rhyme, Sponsored in conjunction with LAMBDA THETA PHI Fraternity, Inc. highlighting such artists as the 1987 Colombian poetry prize winner Medardo Arias Satizabal, well known Hartford artists such as Glaisma Perez and Victor Sterling, student poets, and special performance by members of East River Connection an up and coming New York hip hop group.
