In
Loving Memory....
July 27, 1966 - December 19, 2002- The Rev. Gail P. Lowry, one of the Pastors of Well of Living Water Ministries
Pastor Gail was ordained in this ministry on August 24, 2002 and from the beginning had a vision of the church that would evolve in Belleville, IL. She is sadly missed by her partner of 13 years, Linda W. and the congregation of WLWM. Pastor Gail left us too soon, but these words speak to all of us as we remain: "I am home in heaven, dear ones. Oh, so happy and so bright! There is perfect joy and beauty In this everlasting light. All the pain and grief is over, Every restless tossing passed; I am now at peace forever, Safely home in heaven at last. There is work still waiting for you, So you must not idly stand, Do it now, while life remaineth. You shall rest in God's own land. When that work is all completed, He will gently call you Home; Oh, the rapture of that meeting, Oh, the joy to see you come!
June 12, 1997 - Mr.
Travis L. Moore, loving friend and partner of Martin Haugland of Evansville,
Indiana.
Travis
was the kind of friend who was always there when you needed him. Whether
he lived down the street, around the corner or 150 miles away.... he was
always as close as the phone. He and I both had lost another good
friend in February 1993, the Rev. John E. Kirkland, and it seems that neither
one of us ever got over his being gone. I know without a doubt in
my mind at this point, the two of them are having one whopping good time
together - and still keeping an eye on me.....
December
1993 Mr. Claude Sloan - St. Louis, Missouri
Claude was another one of my buddies....we'd
rant and rave about anything and everything together. But having been an
RN, he also had a lot in common with my other half, Kay. They could sit
and talk about who was doing what in the nursing profession for hours.
It seems that each and every one of my good buddies would give you the
shirt off his back and no matter what time of day or night, someone could
always be counted on to 'be there' when you needed them. These were
my Angels on earth, they are still the angels of my heart.....
The
Rev. John E. Kirkland February 1993 - Columbia, Missouri
One of my favorite pictures of John
was taken one Halloween, when he dressed up as "Sister Mary Soul" (Whoopi
Goldberg, lookout!). John was a Minister of Music in our church and
when he got up to lead us in singing, if you could remain in your seat
without Something tapping, bouncing, drumming, welllllll you hadda be long
gone dead and ready to be buried. If any man could look like he was
flying down the aisles while singing "I'll Fly Away" -- that was our Johnny
'Tim' !....
BrendaMcAdams, May 18, 1944 - August 22, 1998 - St. Louis, Missouri, Loving partner and lifelong companion of The Rev. (Sister) Vivian Gordon.
Brenda was the life-mate of The Rev.
Vivian Gordon, "Sister Viv" who is an Evangelist and member of Well of Living Water Ministries.
Brenda had her own ministry as a Christian Clown and was the delight of
many young people. Brenda was also our 'miracle woman', when first
diagnosed with cancer, she survived the surgery, the chemo, the radiation
therapy, and when the doctors had given her up for as good as gone 10 years
ago, she surprised them all when a later checkup found her healthy
and essentially cancer-free.
