Zertin V, an independent world that's seen better days. The Wildcards are outside their ship.

"All right, Tundra and Maverick and Mrr'tas come with me. The rest stay here."

"But you may need our help." says Miles

"Take me with you." says Tim "I'm good in a fist fight."

"Against sapiens?"

"Absolutly."

"Maybe next time. Let's go."

They walk through the streets of the capital, surrounded by shady looking characters.

"Hey little kitty, wanna play?"

They turn to see a tough looking human with a couple of his buddies eyeing Mrr'tas.

"I am not a kitty, flat face. I'm a Kzatti, and I can beat you senseless."

"Ohh, them's fightin' words." says a goon

"Yeah, teach the little cat a lesson."

Mrr'tas turns to the others.

"I can handle this."

"As you wish." says BJ

The two goons come at Mrr'tas but she avoids them and uppercuts them on the neck. One recovers quickly and moves to punch Mrr'tas in the face, but she grabs his fist and squeezes. The other comes from behind but Mrr'tas knocks him out with the back of her other fist.

"Let go of me!"

"I don't think so."

She picks him up and throws him into some trash containers. She turns to the one who called to her. He suddenly runs for it. Mrr'tas goes back to the others.

"Most impressive." says Maverick

"Thank you."

"Come on let's go." says BJ

"Were looking for this cano-sapien. His name's AJ. Have you seen him?"

BJ shows a picture to a man standing in front of a building.

"That's Boss AJ your talkin about."

"Boss?"

"Yeah. I'll take you to him. But first, who's he to you?"

"Tell him his younger brother BJ wants to see him."

They're led inside the building into a lavish room.

"Nice." says Tundra

A door opens and AJ walks in wearing expensive clothing. The two brother stare at each other, then AJ rushes up and hugs BJ, laughing.

"BJ it is so good to see you! How have you been?"

"Fine AJ. Never thought I'd see you again."

"Likewise. What's this I hear about you getting married?"

"You heard that huh? Her name's Raven."

"Ohh, your such a lucky man BJ. Come in to my office and let's talk."

"Ahem."

"Oh, you brought friends. Introduce me BJ."

"AJ, this is Tundra, Maverick and Mrr'tas."

AJ stares at Mrr'tas.

"A Kzatti. Your friends with a Kzatti?"

"I owe Captain BJ my life."

"Captain?"

"Long story."

"I'll bet. Come on in."

"...and after the war I started up the Wildcard's. There's ten of us now and we mostly haul cargo."

"Cargo? That's a waste. You oughta join me here."

"What is it that you do?" says Maverick

"Oh, I thought you knew. I'm in charge of the gangs here on Zertin V, well most of them anyway."

"Your...a crime boss?" says Tundra

"I prefer the term boss."

"I knew you'd never become legit!" says BJ "No wonder Admiral Trout wants you brought in."

"Excuse me? Your working for the Federation?"

"Darn right I am. Unlike you, I'm legit."

AJ gets angry

"How dare you! I am legit! I'm an important person here!"

"What you are is a crime boss AJ! Do you have any idea what I've gone through in the past two years?"

"I don't follow you."

"I've been legit ever since the war ended. In the past two years I've had the KH Military gunning for me, Kzatti hating Cutani chasing me, an entire other dimension wanting my head, and the time travel commission fining me because I punched our ancestor Bear in the face."

"You got to meet Bear? Tell me you killed him."

"I did nothing of the sort! Sure hearing about how great a guy he was got nauseating but I do not take lives unless it's necesary. Your coming with me AJ, Admiral Trout wants a word with you."

"You'll have to kill me to get me off this planet."

"Stubborn. Idiotic. Pigheaded."

AJ growls in anger

"Shut up! Fine. We'll settle this like in our youth. A fight to the death with Cutani raka's."

"Agreed."

"And bring all your friends along too, so they can see me gut you."

"Are you insane?" says Raven "You were told to bring him in not kill him."

"BJ, he's your brother." says Miles

"I know that! But he's a stubborn dog who refuses to do what's right. It's taking place and that's final."

Outside AJ's building a crowd has gathered to watch, including the Wildcards. AJ and BJ come face to face each carrying a Cutani raka sword. They salute each other and then circle, the crowd cheering on. They come at each other, swords clanging and then back off.

"Your getting rusty BJ."

"Just fight AJ."

The go at it again for several minutes. BJ slices into AJ's thigh, he grunts in pain and they back off.

"End this now AJ. I don't want to kill you."

"Never!"

AJ shouts and comes at BJ. At one point BJ get's behind AJ and chops part of AJ's tail off, AJ howls in pain. AJ swings back and catches BJ in the arm then he decks him and he falls to the ground in pain. AJ lifts up his sword to deliver the killing blow.

"BJ!!"

BJ recovers and plunges his raka into AJ's chest. He collapses into BJ's arms.

"Uhh! You win little bro."

"AJ, don't worry. Someone get me a medkit!"

"Don't...bother BJ. I've always....been proud of you."

BJ starts crying

"Don't cry BJ, it's childish."

"Please forgive me for all I've said AJ. Don't die on me."

"Too late for that."

AJ gets a far off look.

"Mom? Dad?"

AJ slumps and dies. BJ starts crying before letting loose an ear splitting mournful howl. Raven walks up and puts a hand on his shoulder.

"I'm sorry."

BJ just continues sobbing
