"Personal log, August 7th, 2370, BJ recording. We've been summoned to Nadeu III for unknown reasons. Why they even want us there is beyond me. Nadeu III is at the farthest reaches, so far, of the Terran Federation. Rumor has it it's a first line base against the remnants of the KH Military who disappeared some time in the early half of the 21st Century. KH Military! That's a load! They're ancient history. Although I am curious as to why were going there. End Log."

"Were coming up on some gaseous phenomenon." says Rif.

"Slow us down." says BJ.

"Yes sir." says Miles

"What do you make of it?" says BJ.

"Standard gasses with something I've never seen before added im." says Rif

"Is it dangerous?" says BJ.

"I don't think so."

"Half speed through this and then continue on course."

"Yes Sir." says Miles

BJ (voice over): Why I didn't listen to the voice in my head saying we should have gone around I'll never know. However we would later find out that we had taken on an unwanted passenger. It began in engineering.

Engine room. Steven is here working on a diagnostic when the engines suddenly conk out.

"BJ to Steven, we lost power to the engines.

"I'm aware of the problem sir. I'll have it back up in a little bit."

He works for several minutes.

"Hmm, this can't be right. Engines are fine but they won't work."

Chuckling can be heard over the com-link.

"Engine room to bridge, are any of you playing a joke on me up there? I just heard someone laughing over the com-link."

"Wasn't us." says BJ. "I'm sending Miles to help out."

Miles is walking down a corridor when the floor suddenly freezes. He nearly slips and hangs on to the wall for support.

"This is Miles. The deck here just froze. Environmental is acting crazy."

"I don't understand it" says Steven

Suddenly Miles looses his balance and slids down the corridor.

"Whoa! Now gravity's acting weird! I can't stop sliding!"

He keeps on sliding and finds he's heading for the closed engineering door.

"DeFalco, open the door! Hurry!"

Inside Steven rushes to the engine room door but hears a muffled thud before opening it. There he finds Miles groaning.

"What happened?" says Miles

"What does it look like? Ow!"

The chuckling over the com can be heard again. In the mess hall of the ship Mrr'tas and Raven are here. Mrr'tas is trying to order something but the slot goes on the fritz. She bends down to look into it and a pie suddenly appears and she's hit right in the face. Raven begins to laugh.

"There's a first time for everything!"

She continues laughing as Mrr'tas wipes the creme off her face.

"This isn't funny." says Mrr'tas

"I sure think it is!"

The food slot whirs again and another pie is sitting there. Mrr'tas gets an evil look and throws the pie at Raven and lands squarely on her face. Now Mrr'tas is the one laughing.

"You had it coming Raven!"

Then all the slots begin producing pies, dozens of them and they all fly out of the slots hitting everything. Raven and Mrr'tas scramble out and into the corridor. BJ walks up.

"What happened to you two?"

"Long story." says Raven

BJ moves to go inside.

"Wait" says Raven "BJ don't go in there!"

BJ opens the door and is sudenly hit square in the face.

Both women can't help but double over with laughter.

"Veeeery funny. What happened in here? It looks like a food fight took place."

All Raven and Mrr'tas can do is keep laughing. On the bridge, Tundra and Leroy are manning their stations. A gas starts pouring in.

"What's that?" says Leroy.

Both start getting a case of the giggles.

"Ha ha! Laughing gas!" says Tundra "What's ha ha ha going on!"

Back in the engine room Miles and Steven are working on the problem.

"This isn't normal." says Steven "You know I think we picked up something when we passed through that gas cloud."

"Ooo, brilliant deduction."

"Who said that?" says Miles

"I did. Let's see how you like my jokes!

Electricity suddenly courses through Miles and he's thrown back from the console into the wall.

"That's it!" says Steven "I'm shutting you down!"

"I don't think so!"

Steven suddenly finds himself off the floor.

"Whoa! What are you doing?!"

"How about a little ride? Hee hee hee!"

Steven starts flying across the room.

"Aieeee! I know people who'd pay money for a ride like this! Whoaaaa!"

Miles goes to a locker and gets a laser and fires at the main computer console, destroying it.

"No! NO! You can't do that! NO! NO! NOooooooo......"

The power dies down and Steven crashes to the floor with a thud.

"Ohh! That hurt. Nice job Miles."

Later on the bridge.

"I should be able to have the ship up and running in a few hours." says Steven

"And what about this virus we caught?" says BJ.

"I should have it purged."

"Good. Now we won't have pies flying through the ship."

"Forget pies, I was literlly flying around engineering." says Steven

"Let's just get repairs over with so we can get going hmm?" says BJ.

"Yes sir."

BJ (voice over): The Joker Field is what's called the area we passed through. It's generally a good idea to steer clear of the area. Raven and Mrr'tas still get a big kick out of me getting a pie in the face when I opened up the mess hall doors. That's one adventure I'll never forget.
