Hunter's Lodge, an island resort just off the coast of California. A bounty hunter's only resort that has just opened. The Maddogs are here waiting at the main desk.

"This is a bad idea." says Wesley "A bounty hunters only resort?"

"You've been complaining ever since we got on the ferry." says Silver

"I think this is a bad idea."

"Well, the owner doesn't think so." says Outlaw

"How nice for him," says Wesley "if we knew who the owner was!"

"Hmm. I'll admit that's a little odd, but were here to enjoy ourselves."

A hotel employee comes out from the back. This is Todd.

"Sorry I'm late gentlemen. Last minute paperwork. Welcome to Hunter's Lodge. I'm Todd, how can I help you?"

"Gimme a room!"

They turn to see Sharptooth stalking in. He reaches over the counter and grabs Todd by the collar.

"I said gimme a room runt or I'll bust you in half!"

"H-h-how does room 5 sound?"

"Now hold on Todd don't let him intimadate you." says Outlaw

"Oh no, it's not a problem!"

"It is if your giving away my room."

"I'll take it." says Sharptooth

He throws Todd down and stalks upstairs.

"It's people like you who give bounty hunters a bad name!"

"Thank you."

"Give me back my room Sharptooth!"

"Choke on a hair ball."

He enter the room, gives Outlaw a smug smile and slams the door. Disgusted, Outlaw goes back downstairs. The door to room 5 suddenly explodes outward and smoke pours out.

"I thought that was a no smoking room." mutters Wesley

"My heavens!" says Todd "What happened?"

"Room 5 now has a view." says Wesley "I told you so!"

Four other bounty hunters walk in. Big Claw, an orange tabby Felo-Mutant, Sally, a golden retriever Cano-Sapien, and two humans. Bo Chase, a young man and Travis Miller, an elderly gentleman wearing a wild west getup.

"I heard there was an explosion." says Big Claw "Who bought it?"

"Sharptooth." says Beowulf

"Ha! Good riddance."

"Travis Miller!" says Outlaw "It's an honor to meet you sir."

"You know this old man?" says Bo

"Heck son, every bounty hunter knows me!" says Travis "I've caught more crooks in my time than you've had dates."

Outlaw and Travis shake hands.

"You'll forgive me for starin at ya son but your the first Cano-Sapien I've met."

"Really? Well, have a good look. I'm not the only one around."

"So I've noticed. Heck, those fancy machines are turning out Cano's by the pound! And I hear your carving out quite the reputation."

"Yes sir."

Later outside, Wesley and Travis are exploring the layouts of the resort.

"You still think it's a bad idea son? I sure could have used something like this when I was younger."

"Oh, come on. This isn't the Wild West!"

"True, but criminals are rampant no matter the time."

While Wesley goes to look at something else, Travis walks into a shed. The shed explodes in a fireball! Everyone rushes outside.

"What happened?!" says Outlaw

"Travis went inside that shed and it exploded!"

"Dang! I was starting to like him." says Bo

"Hey! In here!" says Sally

She points to a horse stable and they find "Mountain Man" Jim King dead.

"You get the feeling that someone wants us dead?" says Silver

"Maybe we should get off this island." says Wesley

"We can't." says Beowulf "I checked and there's a storm headed our way. The ferry won't be back until noon tomorrow."

"Swell."

"Has anyone even seen the staff around here?" says Silver

"I, uh, think we should stay in our rooms for now." says Outlaw

In Outlaw's room, the rest of the Maddogs are gathered around playing poker. A hideous shriek is heard then stops abruptly.

"That sounded like Big Claw." says Beowulf

They run out into the hall where several others run to the room. Outlaw and Silver draw there weapons and open the door. They close it after looking and grimace.

"Ohh! That's not pretty."

Over the night more deaths happen. El Toro get skewered with his own machete and Big Jim McCain gets electrocuted. When morning comes they find that Beowulf is missing. The other Maddogs go look for him. They run for the beach when they here gunfire and find three bounty hunters target practicing; Charlie Grace, Jack Nighthawk and Bo Chase.

"What are you guys doing?" says Silver

"Target practising on those boards." says Bo

"Have you seen Beowulf?" says Outlaw

"No. Shame about him anyway." says Charlie Grace

Bo starts to fire on a fresh target. Behind one of the targets, Beowulf is bound and gagged. A bullet wizzes by his head. He struggles to get loose. Another bullet hits the target inches from his groin. He wimpers in fear. Outlaw decides to go on searching when he notices drag marks in the sand heading for the targets.

"Hold your fire!"

Outlaw goes behind the target and see Beowulf tied up. He rips off the gag.

"Ow! You sure took your sweet time!"

"Oh my gosh! Beowulf I'm sorry." says Bo

"We had no idea you were behind there." says Jack

"Whatever. Scram all of you!"

"What happened?" says Outlaw

"I stumbled on to something in the kitchen. Come on."

The resorts kitchen. While Wesley stands guard Beowulf goes into a refrigerator and takes out a champagne bottle.

"Smell this cork."

"Cyanide!"

"That's right. After I found this someone bashed me on the head."

"We'll have to pull a switheroo with something less deadly." says Outlaw

In the main area they bring out a bottle and some glasses.

"I thought I heard a cork pop." says Charlie "What's the occasion?"

"Getting out of here." says Outlaw

"I'll drink to that."

The Maddogs pretend to drink, while everyone in the room starts to fall asleep. They pretend to go to sleep also. A hooded figure moves through the room. He checks the pulse of Charlie Grace and finds one. He's now confused. Outlaw gets up and tackles him, but the figure gets loose and shocks Beowulf with a taser and runs out the room.

"After him!"

The figure runs out toward the beach, the Maddogs right after him. He's running for the dock when Outlaw tackles him again into the water.

"Well, let's see who our mystery man is."

He pulls off the mask and it's Travis Miller!

"How could you?" says Outlaw

"When I heard about this place being made I came up with the idea to clean house! Parvo was going to pay me a fortune to see you all dead! He's the one who owns the resort!"

"Figures." says Wesley "I told you this was a bad idea!"

They look up to when a jet is heard and see the Sky Rover come in and land. The Rovers come out toward them.

"What are you guys doing here?" says Outlaw

"We got word that bad things were happening on this island." says Hunter "We wanted to make sure you guys were all right."

"We are now." says Silver

"Travis Miller, your under arrest."

"Fine! Take my job! I don't care! You can have it. All of you!"

"Shut-up and move it!" says Blitz

Back at the hotel.

"That was the most underhanded thing you could've done to us!" says Bo "Nicely done."

"Sorry, but sleeping powder was the least leathal thing we could find." says Outlaw

"So what will happen to this place?" says sally

"Who knows?" says Outlaw "Maybe an actual resort."
