Whiter Shade Of Pale

We skipped the light fandango
Turned cartwheels 'cross the floor
I was feeling kind of seasick
The crowd called out for more
The room was humming harder
As the ceiling flew away yeah
When we called out for another drink
The waiter brought a tray

And so it was that later
As the miller told his tale
That her face at first just ghostly
Turned a whiter shade of pale

She said: "There is no reason
And the truth is plain to see"
But I wandered through my playing cards
And would not let her be
One of sixteen vestal virgins
Who were leaving for the coast ohah
And although my eyes were opened
They might just as well be closed

And so it was that later
As the miller told his tale
That her face at first just ghostly
Turned a whiter shade of pale - ahah ahah

Oh oh and so it was that later
As the miller told his tale
That her face at first just ghostly
Turned a whiter shade of pale

Oh oh and so it was that later
As the miller told his tale
That her face at first just ghostly
Turned a whiter shade of pale

I sit in the dark, listening to my Annie Lenox CD. I keep playing "A Whiter Shade Of Pale" over and over. It calms me. Right now I need calming. I’m furious at her.

Those pics. Those pics of her and April Hunter. God why did I even look at her official site this evening? Curiosity killed the cat, indeed.

I take another swig of my beer, and glance at the clock. Almost eight thirty. She’s not home yet.

Girlfriends. Yeah, that’s what I thought we were. But then I saw the pics of her and April. Sure they were taken long before I met her. But that’s not the point. She even said on the site that the pictures were of her and her girlfriend, April Hunter. She lied to me. She told me I was the first woman she had ever been with.

I hear the door unlock. She’s home. Good, now to confront her.

"Hello Tylene." I call out.

She stands in the doorway, smiling at me innocently. But I know different.

"Tell me Tylene. Tell me about you and April Hunter." I tell her.

She comes into the house and set her shopping bags on the floor in the foyer. Even though it is dark in the house, I can see she is giving me a concerned look.

"What do you mean?" She asks.

"I think you know damn well what I mean." I said to her.

She comes into the living room and looks at me with confusion and concern in her hazel eyes.

"Have you been drinking?" she asks me.

"That’s not the point Ty."

"Look I have no clue what you are talking about..."

"Oh, you have no clue huh??" I spat out.

She looks around the room. "Can we turn some lights on? It is rather dark in here.."

"No. I kinda like it this way." I tell her as I take another swig of my beer.

"A Whiter Shade Of Pale" plays for the millionth time. She looks over at the CD player, then at me.

"You’re upset. I know that because you are listening to this song. "

"Whatever gave you that idea?" I asked her sarcastically, "I’ll ask you again Ty, and this time I want an answer. What is the deal with you and April Hunter?"

She opens her mouth and shakes her head in confusion. I grab her by her arm, roughly. I drag her to the computer room. As I do that, I pass the CD player, and turn it up loud so that we can hear the music from the computer room, which is down the hall. We get in the room and I sit behind the computer. The modem hums as I sign online. I type in the address to her official site.

"Come here Ty, I want to show you something." I tell her.

Her official site pops up and I click the link to her news section. I see the page of her news section, and I read out loud something I found, "I'm off to Vegas to shoot with a new photographer Chris Freeman. He is going to take pics of me and my girlfriend April Hunter together for our sites...Wow...We are going to have a Blast!!!"

I turn to face her when I am done reading that passage on her site. My eyes are blazing. "Let’s see these lovely pictures, shall we?!" I ask her sarcastically.

I click on the links to the section that has the pics of her and April. She glances at them. I take another swig of my beer. She can tell I’m furious. I turn the computer off in anger and stand up to leave the room.

"Sweetheart...."

"I don’t want to hear it Tylene! You called her your girlfriend, right there on your site! And those pics...don’t get me started about those god-damn pics!" I shouted at her.

She shook her head, tears in her pretty hazel eyes. "You don’t understand. Those are promo pics. Pics for her site and mine! Those were taken a long time ago..."

"Oh?? And what about the ‘girlfriend’ thing?" I asked her angrily.

"I meant that in a totally different way. Like "girl" and "friend". Not like what you and I are.."

"Gee Ty, I have had plenty girls as friends, but I don’t let them take pictures of my bare ass."

I continue to glare at her. I turn on my heels and leave the room. I go over to the CD player and turn off the CD. I set it in the case, and put my half empty beer in the kitchen.

She comes into the living room, "Do you believe me??"

I don’t answer her. I walk past her and grab my Annie Lenox CD. I then go to the coat closet. I begin rummaging through it, looking for my black leather bomber jacket. I find it and put it on. She pleads with me to talk to her. I turn and walk out the door. I get in the car and put in my CD and fast forward the CD to "A Whiter Shade Of Pale" before peeling out of the driveway.

The song blares through my car stereo and I sing along as I drive down the road.

I begin to think of her as I get on the highway. I do my best to put her out of mind for the time being.

Finally I pull up to a house. I turn of my car stereo and get my Annie Lenox CD out of it. I put it in its case, then turn off the car.

I look at my watch. Almost ten o clock. The lights are on, I hope he’s home.

I get out of the car and walk up the driveway. I get on the porch and ring the doorbell.

Two seconds later, the door opens, and Scott Hall is on the other side.

"Hey Yo."

"Where’s Kevin?"

"He’s in the shower. You want to come in?"

I thank him and we go into the house.

"So, how have you been?" I ask him.

"I’m fine."

"You’re lying. Don’t lie to me. Not tonight. I’ve had enough lies for one night tonight."

Seconds later, Kevin Nash comes down the stairs. He looks mildly surprised to see me sitting on his sofa.

"Hey you!" he says to me happily.

I try to muster a smile when I see the big man. No use.

"Hey Kev."

He looks from Hall to me and back to Hall again.

"Something wrong.?" he asks.

"Yeah. April Hunter." I said.

The two men give each other a glance, then Kevin looks over at me, "Have you heard from her? Is she coming back to WCW?"

I look at Nash in surprise. "What? She was in WCW? When?"

Another lie. Something else Tylene hid from me.

"Oh, late last year early this year. When the NWO was reformed for the last time. Let’s see, it was Pamela, Kim Kanner, Midajah, April and Tylene..." Nash explained.

My mind began to wander. April and Tylene. Gee, why doesn’t that surprise me.

"So, is she??" Halls asks.

I snap back to attention. "Huh? What?"

"April Hunter. Is she returning to WCW?"

"God I sure as hell hope not." I spat out.

"So, what brings you hear this time of night? And where is Tylene? I thought the two of you were joined at the hip." Nash asks me.

At the mention of her name, my eyes narrow into slits. I begin grinding my teeth, something I only do when I’m highly pissed. Nash looks over at me in concern.

"Okay, spill it. You came here for a reason, and I sense that reason is about her."

"She lied to me damnit. She told me I was the only woman she had ever been with..."

"You are.."

"Oh yeah? Then go to her official site. Go look at the pics of her and April Hunter." I spat out angrily. I feel hot angry tears well up in my eyes. I have taken all I could for one night.

"What pics?" Hall asks.

"Pics of her and April, and she has a pic on there that April took of her bare ass."

"You are this upset over a bunch of pics?!?!" Nash exclaims.

"It’s not just a ‘bunch of pics’. She also has on the site that April is her girlfriend." I state.

Hall opens his mouth to say something. But before anyone could say anything, the phone rings. Hall gets up off the couch to answer it. "Hey Yo."

After a few seconds, he turns to Kevin. "It’s for you. It’s Tylene. Sounds like she is crying."

Nash gives me a look before going to the phone. He takes the phone from Hall. Hall comes back over to the couch and looks at me, "What did you say or do to her? She sounds bad. Worse than you do.."

Ten minutes later, Nash comes back to where Hall and I are sitting.

"Tylene is on her way over. You two need to talk this out. She will be over her in less than a half hour."

"She’s coming over here?!?" I exclaim.

Nash rolls his eyes and looks at me, "Yes. She is upset, and so are you. She was crying over the phone. She said you aren’t speaking to her, that you won’t listen to her and that you left the house in a huff..."

Hall begins making tsk tsk noises. I give him a look to silence him. I look back over at Nash.

"Yes, all that is true. I’m furious with Ty right now. And I refuse to have any dialogue with her. Not tonight."

I go over to the couch and grab my keys and jacket. "When she gets, here I won’t be here. I’m going home."

I leave Nash’s house in a huff. How dare he invite her over here. He knows I’m mad as hell at her right now.

I get in my car, get my Annie Lenox CD out of it’s case and put it in. I press the buttons until "A Whiter Shade Of Pale" begins to play.

A drink, just what I need tonight. I"ll go home, finish my beer and go to bed.

I look at the picture hanging from my rearview mirror. My fave pic of her. The black and white close up of her face. God, she looks sexy in that pic. No, can’t think about Ty now.

Truth. Ha. I don’t think I even know what that word means anymore. Not after tonight, anyway.

The rest of the song plays out, and before I know it, I am back at our house. I turn the car off, lean my head against the seat, and close my eyes. God how I hated fighting with Tylene.

I look over and see her car is still in the driveway. Great, Nash must have called her and told her I was coming home. Looks like I will have to talk with her after all. I sigh, take the CD out of the car stereo put the CD back in its case.

I get out of the car and walk up to the house. I’m drained, tired. This stress of all this is getting to me. Sleep sounds good right now, very good. I enter the house and hang up my coat.

"You can’t avoid me all night." I hear her soft voice say from across the room. I look in the living room. Now she is the one sitting in the dark, "we have to discuss this. I can’t go to bed with us fighting. Please baby, please hear me out."

I walk into the dark living room. "Ok fine. Talk. And I want the truth. Is there something between you and April Hunter?"

"Honestly?? No, there is nothing between us. Those pics, they are meant for fun and fun only. Something to shock the fans of us two."

She gets up off the couch and makes her way to me. "You are the only one I love." she tells me.

Because she is at least six or seven inches taller than me, she bends down to kiss me on the lips. I return the kiss, although something in the pit of my gut is telling me something isn’t right. Something, but what?

I turn and go up the stairs ready for bed. something is eating away at me, I tell her that I believe. It’s partly true. A small part of me does. But large part of me..Sleep, that’s all I need, sleep. Maybe when I wake up in the morning, everything will seem right.

**********************************************************

I slowly wake up in Tylene’s arms. I look over at her. She is still sleeping peacefully. I sigh inwardly. Something is still eating away at me. I get out of the bed without waking her. I head to the huge bathroom and begin drawing my shower water. I climb in and begin washing my hair. I close my eyes and let the water run over my face. Soon I hear the shower curtain move. I feel Tylene kiss my shoulders, and the back of my neck.

"I’m going to prove to you that there is no other." she tells me as she kisses the back of my neck and reaches around to massage my breasts. I moan lightly as her tongue plays with the back of my neck.. She turns me around and presses me against the shower wall. Tylene kisses me hard on the mouth. Her tongue slips inside my mouth and she presses her body against mine. The water cascades over our wet naked bodies. She begins to ran her hands through my hair, which is still soapy. She nibbles the side of my jaw, then makes her way to my earlobe. She bites on it gently, carefully avoiding my tiny ruby earring. She begins to kiss the hollow of my neck, and a soft groan escapes my lips. I grab Tylene’s breasts and massage them gently with my hands. She moans in pleasure as I gently play with her already erect nipples. She lets out a contented sigh as she begins to kiss lower. Her mouth is at the top of my breasts. I arch my back and call out her name. With a michevious chuckle, she begins to lick the tips of my nipples very gently. I gasp in pleasure when she puts my right nipple between her teeth. Her tongue feels like electric velvet on my body. I gently rake my nails down Ty’s back and nip at her shoulder. She moves her mouth lower down my body as she begins to gently kiss my stomach. I run my hands through her blondehair, which is now wet from the shower water. Her tongue swirls inside my naval and I arch myback again. She kisses around the outside of my navel as I begin to whimper softly. She makes her way down to my crotch. I spread my legs and let out a load moan. She begins to lick very slowly. I close my eyes and feel like I’m flying. Electric Velvet. That’s what it is ike when Ty does this to me. She begins to suck on my clit slowly. I let out a scream of pleasure. I then feel her stick one finger in me. I dig my nails into the walls. I throw my head back. She begins licking my clit very fast with her tongue. She now has two fingers in me and is moving them back and forth. I’m close, I can feel it. I let out a high pitched scream as I reach the point of orgasm. She begins sucking hard and fast now. When I am finally able to control my breathing, I look down at her and smile. She rises up off her knees and kisses me on the lips gently. I can taste my ecstacy on her tongue. She smiles at me.

"I guess I should let you rinse the shampoo out of your hair." she tells me with a smile on her face. She opens the shower curtain and steps out of the shower.

I rinse all the shampoo out of my hair, and then turn off the water. I then grab a towel and quickly dry off. I run a pick through my hair and put some gel in the and run the pic through it again.

Tylene is at the dresser rummaging through jeans and shirts. She has on a tight pink T-shirt and a pair of faded jeans.

"You got dressed." I tell her as my face fell.

She looks over at me and sees the disappointment on my face, "Yeah, why do you ask?"

"I was hoping to return the favor from the shower." I tell her as she hands me a pair of red lace thongs to put on.

"No time baby. We are late as it is already."

"Oh shit! We go back on the road today, don’t we!?"

"Yep, now hurry up and get dressed while I pack our suitcases."

As I put on a purple T-shirt and a pair of dark blue jeans, Ty gets the luggage all packed.

We both go around the house and make sure we packed everything we need and the all the electrical appliances are off.

We leave the house and hop in the car to drive to the airport.

"Oh guess what, while you were in the shower, Midajah called." Tylene says.

"Oh? What did she want?"

"Only thing she said was that she had a surprise for me when we get to the arena tonight."

2 hours later

We arrive at the MGM Grand arena in Las Vegas. We see Midajah standing talking to Vanessa Sanchez and Rey Mysterio Jr.

"Tylene! Are you ready for your surprise?" She gleefully yells down the hall when she sees us.

Tylene smiles and nods her head. Midajah goes into a nearby room and opens the door.

"You can come out now." She tells whoever is in the room.

All of the sudden, who should step out of the room but April Hunter. She walks right towards Tylene and me. To everyone’s surprise, including my, my right fists connects with April’s face.

I grab the busty red head by her long red hair and drag her out of the back door of the arena.

Now mind you, I’m not a very muscular lady, as a matter of fact, I’m one of the skinniest, smallest females in WCW. Smaller then Leia Meow even. But trust me, when I’m angered, I can become very strong. And I am angry now.

Tylene and Midajah are following us, yelling and pleading with me to stop. Everyone is staring in awe as I drag April by her hair to the exit door.

I drag her to the parking lot out back. Still having a death grip on her hair, I knee her a few times in the abdomen. I let go of her hair and she falls on her hands and knees to the ground. I kick her in the side a few times. She is crying, pleading with me to stop. I then make my way over to her so that I am facing her. I grab a hold of her hair once more in order to pull her head off the ground so she can look in my eyes.

"You stay the fuck away from my girlfriend." I growled at her. I slam her head face first back down on the cold hard concrete.

I then turn and look at where Midajah and Tylene are standing. Tylene looks like she is about to cry. But Midajah, Midajah looks pissed. Good. I’m still itching for a fight. She brought April here. Now it is her turn to suffer my wrath.

I make my way to where they are. "You!", I say, pointing my finger at the brunette. "You brought her here!"

I’m almost to where they are, when Scott Steiner gets in my way, blocking my path. I narrow my eyes and look at him. "Get out of my way!" I scream at him. Fury coursing through my body.

He stands in front of me, not moving. Just standing there with his arms crossed over his chest.

"You aren’t touching my main freak." He tells me.

I slug him. It’s no use. It’s like punching a brick wall. But I did do one thing. I angered the big man.

"Now you did little girl." He tells me as he grabs me by my throat.

"Poppy, NO!" Midajah yells.

"Steiner, let go of her." comes a voice .

We all look and see Hall and Nash making their way towards the parking lot. Nash is shaking his head and waving his left index finger back and forth at Big Poppa Pump.

Steiner gives Nash a look and releases his grip on my neck. He goes over and says something to Midajah and they head back inside the arena.

The Outsiders look at April Hunter laying in the parking lot. Nash then looks over at me.

"What happened here?" he asks me.

I don’t answer him. I’m staring at Tylene. She is ghost white. But than I remember the look she had on her face when she saw April earlier. Happy. I walk over to her and grab her very roughly by the arm. I drag her back into the arena.

"You’re hurting me." she says tearfully.

I see an empty room. I push her in the room, then follow her, closing the door behind me.

"Oh so there’s nothing between you and April, huh?" I spit out angrily.

I begin walking towards her. She starts backing up, shaking her head no, and tears of fear and confusion streak down her face.

"Answer me, DAMNIT!" I yell at her.

She puts her head in her hands and begins to sob.

At the moment the door opens. Little did Tylene and I know that Nash had followed us in the building and down the hall. He gives us an concerned look.

"Why don’t you go back to the hotel and try to calm down, before you do something you will regret." he tells me.

I give Ty a angry look as a walk out of the room. As I walks down the hall and out the door of the arena. I can hear her sobbing in my mind.

I walk around my hotel room, drinking some Jack Daniel’s. I once again have "A Whiter Shade Of Pale" playing. Tylene and April Hunter. I should have known. I sit down at the foot of the bed and sigh. Why? Why did Midajah bring her here? There is a knock on my hotel room door. I sigh heavily and get up off the bed. It’s her, I hope. Please let it be her. I go over to the door and open it. Kevin Nash is other side and is glaring me.

"We need to have a talk." Nash says as he walks in my hotel room.

I move out of the way and shut the door as he walks in. The whiskey is beginning to make myhead feel light heavy.

Nash tuns around and looks at me. "What was that about tonight?

"I think you know what that was about."

I hold the bottle of Jack out, "Want some?"

He shakes his head no and frowns.

"Tylene is worried sick. You scared her half to death. Not to mention how angry Scott Steiner is.."

"Fuck Steiner." I say as I sit down in a chair.

"No thank you, I have my hands full with Hall, plus I don’t thing Steiner swings that way."

I laugh like mad. I’m not sure whether it is his comment or the alcohol that is making me laugh. He grins at me, and then gets a serious look on his face once more.

"Seriously, I know the thought of April Hunter and your girlfriend together drives you mad. Hell, if I thought Scotty was with someone else, I’d be upset too. But that is not what is going on. The reason that Midajah invited April here tonight was because she wanted to surprise Tylene for her birthday."

"She should have consulted me first." I said.

"Why? So you could tell Tylene?"

"No, so I could tell Midajah not to invite her. April Hunter is NOT allowed anywhere near my girlfriend! And as for Ty’s birthday, I already have a very wonderful present for her."

I get up out of the chair I am sitting and go over to where the closet is. I open the closet door and take my black leather bomber jacket out of it. I reach in the right pocket and pull a small purple velvet box out. I look at the box, and toss the box to Nash. He catches it and opens it up as I am hanging my jacket back up in the closet.

"Nice.." he says as he lets out a low whistle.

"Thanks." I reply as I shut the closet door and walk back to the chair I was sitting in before.

"So, when are you planning to give this to her?" he asks me.

"Tomorrow." I say.

"You know, there is no relationship without trust."

"What are you getting at?" I ask him as I narrow my eyes.

"You and Tylene. You need to learn to trust her more, and trust your thoughts less. Because what you are thinking may not be what’s going on. Has Tylene ever done or said anything to make you not trust her?"

"You mean besides the pics of her and April.."

"Which were taken long before you even knew her..."

"No, she hasn’t." I said with a sigh.

The alcohol is beginning to get to me. I am feeling sleepy.

"Just think about what I said, Ok?" he asks me.

I nod my head at him as he walks out of my hotel room and closes the door behind him.

I get my shorts and my purple camouflage tank top off and climb into the bed. Sleep begins to take over my body.

The ringing of the phone awakens me. My head is throbbing. I slowly open my eyes and roll over and answer it.

"ello" I mumble into the phone.

"I need to tell you something I forgot to tell you last night" Nash’s voice says on the other line.

"For God’s sake, you wake me up to..."

"Listen to me." he says. "You will lose Tylene if you don’t stop acting jealous and possessive."

I let out a sigh as I try to clear my head. I know Nash is right.

"Are you listening to me?" Kevin asks.

"Yes, I hear you. I’m hungover, not deaf."

"Just keep in mind what I am telling you. She was very upset and hurt last night."

I close my eyes. The last thing I want to do is hurt Tylene.

My eyes slowly look around the room. No Tylene. Did she even come to the room last night?

"She’s not here." I say out loud to myself, forgetting that Nash in on the other line.

"She’s having breakfast with Hall and me. I just left the table to call you. Look, I’m going back to eat. Just think about what I said, ok kiddo?"

I nod my head as I tell him yes. After we say our good-byes I hang up the phone and rub my face with the palm of my hands.

I slowly climb out of bed and go over to my suitcase. I get out a pair of cut-off shorts and a tight purple tank top.

I head for the bathroom and turn on the shower water. I climb into the shower and let the warm water fall on my body. I close my eyes, and I picture Tylene’s face.

How could I do that? How on earth could I hurt the one I love. especially so close to her birthday? Giver her the ring today and apologize. That is what I need to do. As soon as she comes back, If she comes back.

I begin washing my hair slowly. As I do so, my headache brought on by the hangover slowly disappears.

I wouldn’t be surprised if she left me. Especially the way I acted last night. God I can’t lose her.

I rinse my hair and turn off the water. I step out of the shower and grab a near-by clean towel hanging up on the rack. As I am drying off I hear the hotel door unlock.

I turn around and see her standing in the bathroom doorway.

She looks at me and sighs.

"Tylene.."

I towel dry my hair as I look at her. She looks so sad, so upset. She turns and goes to her suitcase. She lays it on the bed an opens it.

"Sweetheart.."

"No, I don’t want to hear it. Not after what you did last night. Not to mention the night before that." she said as she put her clothes in the suitcase.

No, this can’t be happening. She can’t be leaving me. Not this. Anything but this.

"Ty.."

"I’m sorry. I can’t live this way. You are too jealous and possessive."

Nash’s voice rings in my head. You will lose Tylene if you don’t stop acting jealous and possessive.

I can’t lose her. Not now. Not ever. She means too much to me.

"Ty, let me explain, please..."

"No, I’m sorry. Why should I let you? You didn’t believe me, you didn’t trust me."

She continued packing her suitcase.

The ring! I have to give her the ring! That might solve the problem. It has to. God, I don’t want to lose her.

She closes her suitcase.

"Ty, please don’t leave.."

She turns and looks at me with hurt and sadness in her eyes. Hurt and sadness that I caused.

She lets out a sad sigh as she wlkas out the hotel room.

I sit there, trying to cry. I get up and turn on my CD player, thinking of a way to get her back.
