William married 19 December, 1806 to Susannah Twitty, born in 1785, daughter of Rev. Soldier William Twitty and Frances Rhodes. The couple had nine children, the first five were born in Rutherford County, North Carolina. The family moved to Gwinnett County, Georgia; and thence to Tippah County, Mississippi. Susannah died in 1845 and William died in Tippah County on October 10, 1858. His tombstone in Weir's Chapel Cemetary in Ripley, Mississippi bears the inscription, "Son of the Signer of the Mecklenburg Declaration of Independence."
1. Elmina Graham, was born 1807 NC., and married Joseph Goodwin. She is a widow residing near Suwannee, Gwinnett county, Ga. in 1858.
2. Margaret P. Graham, born 1809 NC., married, in Gwinnett county, GA., in 1835 to Allen Weems, a farmer. Mr. Weems was born in Franklin Co. GA., in 1806 and in 1856 resides in Cherokee Co., Alabama, near Spring Garden.
3. Jane M. Graham, born 1819 NC; died in Forsyth county, Georgia, in 1851. She married married Claiborne H. Thompson.
4. William Lewis Graham, was born about 1811 in Rutherford county, North Carolina. When a youth he cut his knee with a drawing knife. The synovial fluid escaped and left him with a stiff knee; hence, he is familiarly known as "Trigger-leg Graham." He was a merchant and resided in Tippah county, MS.
He was married twice. (1) Margaret Pearce and (2) Martha O. Northcross.
5. Frances Graham, born 1813 GA., resides with her brother, Wm. L., in Tippah Co., Mississippi.
6. Sarah Graham, died single in 1850.
7. Robert Graham, died single.
8. James H. Graham, born 1820 and died 1864 in Tippah Co. He married Amanda Lowry who died in 1859 Tippah Co.
9. Joseph F. Graham, born 1825 married Louisa Stowe in 1851. He resided near New Albany, Pontotoe Co., MS.
