Follow the plot...

There's nothing particularly clever about a page of links, but without them the WWW would be nothing, so here are a few of the links (not related to cars) which I use on a regular basis. If you want to look at my car related links check out my other web pages at Freeserve and Geocities.

First up a link to Alta Vista, the excellent search engine from Digital (for whom I worked for years as a contractor). Good to see they've still got some ideas there. This also forms the engine for the Yahoo! directory service, which organises links by categories.

Now for my links...

Skiing Links

Ski Maps! - A great site with scanned in piste maps.
The Banff/Lake Louise Tourist Board - Nice people, great skiing and we're going back in 1998!!!!
Serre Chevalier - My favourite French resort. If the conditions are right this has some of the best skiing I've ever experienced.

Computer Links

Free Software on The Internet - If you ever feel guilty about using shareware for that one-off task, try this excellent site for a truly FREE option!
Yahoo's Computer and Internet page - From here you can find 99% of anything you'd want or need to know about computers.
DBMS Magazine - Probably the best computer trade magazine around.
Jobserve - Online computer vacancies - Got me my job at White Cross, but other than that they're alright!

News & Information Links

Press Association - I mainly use this for checking TV listings, but the news is good too, from the source the Press use!
The Electronic Telegraph - My favourite electronic newspaper.
National Geographic - A little slow, but with the same great images which make the printed version so wonderful.
Munich Found - Munich's English speaking magazine.

Various Links

Andie Macdowell - Model turned actress - I just think she's nice and this is the best website about her.
Star Trek : The Next Generation - My wife loves this program.
Thorpe Park - My daughter loves this place.
Teletubbies - The truth about the controversial foursome - Funniest page on the web?

Links to People I Know's Web Sites

Pete (Who I share an office with) went to Aston University and runs Aston Web.

Greg is someone I know from my days at DEC - His webpage is a fairly eclectic mix.

Cynthia is a fellow Marcos owner.

Brian is a bloke who I've worked with on numerous occasions. First time was in my 2nd job when he was the red-hot programmer on the team. Second time was a few years later, when he (and another colleague from that 2nd job) persuaded me to join Allen Computers in Egham. He's a contractor now, but our (working) paths crossed again last year when White Cross were doing some work for Cellnet, who he works for. His page isn't great, but he's got a nice TVR Chimera!
