Just a few lines to tell you about the history of The Martin Family.
On January 11,1907- Howard Nash Martin was born to James Alexander Martin and B.Lowe Wicker of Avinger,Texas. He had other siblings, that we have no knowledge of. Because his father had passed away when he was young and his mother remarried and the children where placed in an orphanage. Lowe Wicker is the daughter of Marcellas Marabo Wicker (born: 1838 died:1885) and Nancy McCasland. Marcellas Marabo Wicker is the son of John Wicker and Harriet Jacobs of Baldwin County,Georgia. Most of all are buried in East Texas. But we have no idea of the resting place of Howard Nash Martin's parents and siblings are located.

Howard Nash Martin had married his first wife and had one child with her. The child's name is Cecilia Ann Martin. We have no knowledge of this child's where abouts or information about her.

Then he married Edith Emma Boyd, of Logansport,Louisiana the daughter of Edward Fox Boyd and Ida Daughety. They continued to live in Longstreet,Louisiana. until his death. He and his wife had six children. One son had died in a car accident in 1967.

Edith Boyd had remarried a Clarence Porter, and moved to Tenaha,Texas with her three youngest children. Clarence Porter now deceased.
Then on Easter morning in 1983, Edith Boyd died. She now rests along side Howard Nash Martin in Longstreet,Louisiana.

Brenda Joyce Martin
Born:1944 in Texas.
Married Curtis E. Estes in 1962 of Joaquin,Texas
She has two children.



James Arnold Howard Martin
Born:1946 in Louisiana.
Married Marie Swearingin,where they had resided in California.
In 1967 he died in Nevada of injuries from a car accident.



Teresa Lorrine Martin
Born: 1948 in Louisiana.
Married Herman Dean Barber in 1970
She has three children. And she now resides in Mansfield,Louisiana.



Eula Christine Martin
Born:1953 in Louisiana. Now resides in San Antonio,Texas



Gary Ray Martin
Born: 1958 in Louisiana.
Married Lisa Kay Richard in 1980 in Texas.
He has two children. And he now resides in Bossier City,Louisiana.



Bennie Leo Martin
Born: 1962 in Louisiana
He now resides in Tenaha,Texas
