"And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: GOD WAS MANIFEST IN THE FLESH, justified in the Spirit, seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into glory."
1 Timothy 3:16

There is only one God, and His name is Jesus Christ.  There are not three separate persons in the Godhead, but three manifestations of one God.  He has three titles, the Father, the Son, and the Holy Ghost.  Consider this example:

A man is married and has 3 children.  He takes his family to see their grandparents.  This man is a father to his children, a son to his parents, and a husband to his wife.  Does that make him three different persons?  No!  He is still one man.  Just as our Lord is.  He is Father to man, He is the Son, named Jesus to show us how to live, and He is the Holy Ghost as husband to us.

This man also has one name.  He has a first name, given to him at birth, and a last name, inherited from his father.  Hebrews 1:4 "Being made so much better than the angels, as he [Jesus] hath by inheritance obtained a more excellent name than they."
The name given unto the Son is Jesus.  This represents the flesh part of God.  Christ is the name of the Father.  So, in order to have both, you must use the name Jesus Christ.
