On this and the following pages are video captures of the battle between furry hero and scaly villain of the 1933 film KING KONG. Some of the "vidcaps" are larger than others; I realized halfway through that the bigger images give a clearer look at the tyrannosaur.

Many of us started loving dinosaurs when we first saw that giant lizard locked in a life-and-death battle with King Kong. We now know, of course, that tyrannosaurs didn't look anything like the one portrayed in the movie, but the creature has such personality and the combat is so exciting that it remains a real thrill to see. Enjoy the images.
