In France I visited three cities, Paris, Nice and Cannes.

I stayed for 5 days in Paris, and for 4 days in Nice.

I took the train one day to Cannes for a very brief visit, so I don't really know that city as well as the other two.

These are three aerial views I photographed at the top of the Eiffel Tower.....

Taking the elevators up in the Eiffel Tower is an experience in and of itself!!!

At first, the elevator (which there are four, one in each of the legs) (and long lines to wait on, because everybody wants to go up to the top of the Eiffel Tower) moves diagonally upward.

This is, of course, because the legs are on an angle.

When it stops, everybody gets out and thinks they are at the top. But you're really not at the top yet.

There is an extra charge (like every tourist attraction in European cities) to take another elevator and go further up to the top.

By all means, pay it and go!!! There's a shop and a restaurant at the topmost point and the vantage point is spectacular.

I guarantee that you will be glad you did!!!!!

Believe me, you don't want to miss this!!!!!

Besides, when are you going to have a chance to go to the top of the Eiffel Tower again, anyway!

(It's always worth paying the extra money you have to pay to take in more of the sightseeing particulars)
