This is a 30 minute exposure of Cygnus not long after it had risen. It was taken on Kodak PJM with my Minolta SRT101 with a 50mm lens stopped down one stop. I used a crosshatch filter with the intent of highlighting the brighter stars. I used it for the entire exposure and it crosshatched a lot more stars than I thought it would. Next time I try it, I am going to try to mount the filter for only part of the exposure. I like the effect, but it's a little much in this shot.
I was very pleased with the amount of nebulosity that came out. I made some minor adjustments to the prescan and did an "Autolevels" adjust in Photoshop.
You can see the Veil Nebula in the lower left. The bright star on the right is Vega and the constellation Lyra.
