A cowslip
flower will make a hat
For any little elf
With pennywort umbrella he
Can always shade himself
Wild arum makes both hood and cape
If it should start to rain
At night a lambs ear leaf can be
His fury counterpane.
In the
hedge, convolvulus
Has flowers light and airy
Neatly pleated flaring dresses
Fit for any fairy
A spangled wrap of lacy webs
Draped softly over all
A crown of hawthorn buds and she
Is ready for the ball.
