Monster In My Pocket

Home Page

Well, if you're visiting this site, chances are you either already know what Monster In My Pocket (M.I.M.P.) is all about. If you don't, here's a brief history:

In 1990, Joe Morrison (and his company, Morrison Entertainment Group) teamed up with Matchbox Toys to produce a line of toys based on monsters from classic literature, folklore, mythology, etc., which they labeled "Monster In My Pocket." The first series (which consisted of 48 individual monsters in four different colors) was so popular, a second series was out, and soon enough, an toy empire was built. Comic books, cartoons, video games, a fan club -- Monster In My Pocket had become the hottest toy around. Then, almost as quickly as it had begun, the toys suddenly started disappearing from toy stores, and by the end of 1993, Monster In My Pocket toys could only be found in clearance aisles and garage sales.

And here we are today. Monster In My Pocket may not be available in toy stores, but thanks to the internet, collectors like you and me can complete our collections without ever leaving the house. This page has been set up as a resource to both collectors and the just plain curious. I have tried to give as much detail on all of the M.I.M.P. products I have seen, but if you know of anything I may have missed, don't be afraid and tell me about it. And now, you may...
