The answer to Chalkboard Trivia #32 is:

Theodore Herzel

(Herzl was the second-most famous journalist who covered the Dreyfuss matter. Emile Zola, of course, is remembered for his article in the Paris press entitled "J'accuse!" Herzl is also remembered for what is known as the "Ugandan solution." He believed that the Jews needed a homeland and worked out the details for allowing the Jews to settle in Uganda!!!!!!! Remember Idi Amin? Do you get the irony? Anyway, nobody wanted to set up a Jewish state in Uganda, so Herzl has sort of receded in the consciousness of most people. Being number two is never as good as being number one unless you are Avis Rent-A-Car!)

Let me look at the question again.
