Some families know a great deal about their roots; others know very little. This site is an attempt to get in contact with other Moorkens and related people to exchange information , documentation and to share the family tree with them.   In these modern times, families tend to be scattered all over the country, if not the world. One of the goals of this web site is to help our family stay connected even though we live far apart. Since the start up of this Moorkens genealogy page in 1994 it has proven a great success in my search for recent generations which I can link back to the older 13 to 15 generations.

Most of this information was obtained from talking to living relatives and from researching public records. In the course of doing this research, I've discovered that there are many more relatives than I ever thought possible!
