INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS

STEP ONE
Lower spare tire for access to the winch mechanism. Locate the vertical slot on the left (drivers) side of the winch mechanism. Use the small opening at the top of the slot to insert the 5/16" carriage head bolt, as shown in picture at left.

STEP TWO
Use the provided washer and locknut to attach the U-bracket to the winch mechanism. Position the U-bracket as shown in picture and tighten locknut.

STEP THREE
Install the lock bar through the holes in both legs of the U-bracket, with the grooved end facing toward the rear of the vehicle. Place the clip-ring retainer in the groove and crimp closed with pliers.

STEP FOUR
Raise the spare tire while guiding the lower end of the lock bar through the lug hole least obstructed by the mounting plate attached to the winch cable in the center of the wheel.
This Lock Is Designed To Install With Spare Tire In The
Factory Installed Position, Valve Stem Down.
BLACK MAX LOCKING INSTRUCTIONS
(1) Remove the key from the lock cylinder. (2)Place the BLACK MAX lock assembly over the end of the locking bar with the bar cover/seal end up. (3)
Slide the lock upward on the bar until the bar cover/seal is compressed in the tapered surface of the lug hole. (4) Press inward on the "Push To Lock" button while holding the lock assembly firmly against the wheel to engage the deadbolt lock mechanism with the locking bar groove.
