INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS

STEP ONE Lower spare tire for access to the winch mechanism and frame cross-member. Locate the 1/2" wide slot in the cross-member that extends forward to the white plastic winch cable guide bushing.

STEP TWO Use the provided 3/8" hex head bolt, lock nut and two flat washers to attach the U-bracket to the cross-member. Position the U-bracket under the slot in the cross-member with hex head bolt and flat washer upward through the mounting hole in the bracket. Install the lock nut and second flat washer over the end of the threaded end of the bolt. Align U-bracket as shown and tighten lock nut. Place lock bar through both legs of the U-bracket with the grooved end facing toward the left frame rail. Install crimp-ring retainer in the groove and crimp closed with pliers.

STEP THREE Raise the spare tire while guiding the lower end of lock bar through the lug hole least obstructed by the winch cable retaining plate in the center of the wheel. The lock bar must remain vertical as the spare tire is raised to the full up/stored position.

This Lock Is Designed To Install With The Spare Tire In The Original Factory Position, Valve Stem Down.

STEP FOUR The PVC protective bar cover/seal is designed to center and hold the lock firmly against the tapered surface of the wheel lug hole. Hold lock inverted with PVC cover/seal end up. Place the lock over the end of the lock bar and slide upward against the tapered surface of the lug hole. Hold the lock against the wheel and rotate slightly allowing the lock mechanism to engage the lock bar groove.
