INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS

STEP ONE Lower spare tire for access to the winch mechanism attached to the lower side of the frame cross-member with four flange type mounting bolts. Locate and remove the mounting bolt on the left side of the winch mechanism. Install U-bracket using the existing mounting bolt. Position the U-bracket as pictured and tighten the mounting bolt.

STEP TWO Install the lock bar through the holes in both legs of the U-bracket, with the grooved end facing toward the rear of the vehicle. Place the crimp-ring retainer in the groove and crimp closed with pliers.

STEP THREE Raise the spare tire while guiding the lower end of lock bar through lug hole least obstructed by the winch cable retaining plate in the center of the wheel. The lock bar must remain vertical as the spare tire is raised to the full up/stored position.

This Lock Is Designed To Install With The Spare Tire In The Original Factory Position, Valve Stem Down.

STEP FOUR The PVC lock bar cover/seal is designed to center and hold the lock firmly against the tapered surface of the lug hole. Hold lock inverted with PVC cover/seal end up. Place lock over the end of the lock bar. Slide lock upward against the tapered surface of the lug hole and rotate to engage lock mechanism with the lock bar groove.
