SPARE TIRE THEFT PROTECTION
STEP TWO Place the U-bracket over the winch shaft, positioned with the round hole side of the bracket facing toward the right frame rail. Insert the short end of the lock bar through the round hole of the U-bracket. Holding the lock bar hortizonal, align the flat machined end of the bar with flat sided hole in the opposite side of the bracket.Push the bar through the bracket.Let the bar swing downward to vertical position which locks it into the U-bracket. |
STEP FOUR Raise spare tire allowing lower end of locking bar to pass through the lug hole the least obstructed by the winch cable retaining plate in the center of the wheel. The locking bar must remain vertical as spare tire is returned to the full up/stored position.
STEP FIVE
The PVC lock bar cover/seal is designed to center and hold the lock firmly against the tapered surface of the lug hole. Hold lock inverted with the PVC cover/seal end up. Place lock over the end of the lock bar. Slide lock upward against the tapered surface of the lug hole and rotate to engage lock mechanism with the lock bar groove.
