TOYOTA
TUNDRA PICKUP 99-Up

INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS

STEP ONE
Lower the spare tire for access to the frame cross-member and winch mechanism. The winch mechanism is attached to the frame cross-member with four mounting bolts. Looking upward at the winch mechanism, locate the the threaded ends of the four mounting bolts and the three nearby (approx.5/8" dia.) holes stamped in the cross-member.

STEP TWO
Use the most forward hole stamped in the cross-member on the left(drivers) side to attach the U-bracket as shown. Attach the U-bracket using the provided 3/8" x 1" bolt, locknut and two flat washers. One washer is placed inside the U-bracket and the other is placed under the locknut on the top side of the cross-member. Position the U-bracket as shown, with grooved end of the lock bar facing toward the front of the vehicle. Place the crimp-ring retainer in the groove and crimp closed with pliers.

STEP THREE
Raise the spare tire and guide the lower end of the locking bar down through one of two lug bolt holes unobstructed by the mounting plate, attached to the end of the winch cable. Prevent rotation of the spare tire to insure that the locking bar remains in a vertical position, as it extends downward through the lug bolt hole in the center hub of the wheel.

This Lock Is Designed To Install With Spare Tire In The Original Factory Position, Valve Stem Up

STEP FOUR
The PVC lock bar cover/seal is designed to center and hold the lock firmly against the lug hole. Hold lock inverted with the PVC cover/seal end up. Place lock over the end of the lock bar. Slide lock upward against the tapered surface of the lug hole and rotate to engage lock mechanism with the lock bar groove.
