Click on the "Misc Pics" to follow with the progress of my current project "Elvira", essentially a 73 Eldo with triple disc brakes and a few other modifications of my own. So stay tuned!!
The whole love affair with Moto Guzzi's started when I found a dusty old Guzzi under a pile of boxes and things in my dads garage. I asked what he was going to do with it and he said if I put it back together, I could have it. Say no more, I began the task of rummaging through everything looking for all the parts I could possibly find. My first good look at it came the next day when I came home from work to pick the bike up. It was a sight for sore eyes. No wiring what so ever could be found! Well I guess you can't have it lucky all the time. It began to look like I was going to have to buy just about every part on the bike, but luckily my dad never forgets where he puts things, so he was able to point me in the right direction. Parts were in boxes in many different locations in the garage, in storage and even at my grandmothers house.
First thing was to inventory all the parts I had and then make a list of everything else I was going to have to locate from locations I yet had no idea where to find. That's when the power of the good old WWW came into play. A quick search on the net revealed many sources for miscellaneous parts and accessories. I settled on a place called Harper's Moto Guzzi (Located in MS) They were very helpful and I soon had a few things on order. Down the road I have located some of my favorite places to go and discovered many others, so just scroll down and click the links to take you to their sites.
