Fad Or Here To Stay?
I wonder if DVD is just a fad...or is it here to stay? It has been called 'The Next Generation of Home Entertainment'.-Stored on a disc the same size as a music CD, DVD movies provide exceptional picture and theater-quality Dolby Digital (TM) Surround sound. DVD offers the experience of watching movies in multiple screen formats including the original theatrical widescreen version. An interactive, on-screen menu system gives DVD users the ability to switch between multiple language tracks and/or subtitles and can include English, French and Spanish. -DVD also lets consumers explore material about the cast and the making of the film. Many DVD titles include never-before-seen interviews and original theatrical trailers. Special DVD features are accessible through user-friendly on-screen menus: 'Blazing Saddles' features an exclusive new interview with Mel Brooks and 'Lethal Weapon 2' includes film highlights, production notes and a behind-the-scenes featurette. -DVDs can also be viewed on personal computers, offering richer 3-D graphics and fuller sound that enhances the movie viewing experience.
