Doc's aim to halt Connection

Frontrunners W Connection will be looking to maintain their unbeaten run when they face a tricky Doc's Khelwalaas in fifth round action of the Craven A Professional Football League today at Guaracara Park, Point-a-Pierre from 4 pm.

Other matches carded for today include a clash between Police and CL Financial Jabloteh at Apex Ground , Fyzabad (4 pm) while Futgof host Point Fortin Civic Centre at PSA Ground, Long Circular from 6 pm.

Connection (12 points) are coming off a deserving 2-1 victory over last year's league winners Joe Public last Wednesday, and surely will have the upper hand at home.

In Guyanese striker Collie Hercules, leading the league with six goals, Randolph Jerome and Sherman "Ants" Phillip, Doc's have a formidable striking partnership.

Following their 5-1 thrashing of Futgof last round, the biggest victory of the season so far, the Central-based side will be looking for another big win.

Connection will be without their skipper Reynold Carrington, who has received another one-match suspension after being sent off in an earlier game.

Carrington along with Reginald Harris and Sherwyn Jack of Police and Kurtwyn Baird of Doc's Khelwalaas have been fined $500 each and suspended for one match.
