A 47th minute strike by Jason Scotland was all it took to give Defence Force a 1-0 victory over CL Financial San Juan Jabloteh in a Craven A Professional League second round fixture at the Hasely Crawford Stadium yesterday.

The win put the Army in second spot on six points behind W Connection (6 pts) going into the third round on Sunday.

The Southerners are on top having scored seven goals, as opposed to four by the Army.

The tempo of the match raised slightly at the start of the second half and after just two minutes, Scotland netted the game's only goal with a looping header past 'keeper Shurland Awai from a Carlos Edwards right side cross which caught the Jabloteh defence napping.
