The Hero's Journey is a vital part of growing up and becoming a wise participant in today's society. Once we have left home and fought the prejudice and ignorance in ourselves, we can return and make decisions and choices which acknowledge a larger world.

This journey can be done partially on Internet as we open doors to new places and ideas. However, it is only as we step out of our own world and into another, alien, world that we come to terms with false ideas we have carried with us.

Phase one of our project was in August of 1998 as the Cafe Society guys showed up in Kayenta, Arizona USA at Monument Valley High School and handed out Disposable Cameras to 14 Students. The students were told to go out and take pictures of their lives.

( It was so refreshing to see students tell their own stories instead of strangers coming in to interview them and then write up or photogragh their views of who the kids are.)

Within a week the students had taken their pictures, got them developed and learned how to scan pictures. The Cafe Society guys spent quite a bit of time explaining to the students how pictures, sound and text can be incorporated into an internet page.
