World's Smallest Writing Contest SUSPENDED

I apologize to one and all. This contests is OVER if anyone who sent me entries back in 1997 still wishes to do so, the may e-mail them to meberle@mail.com. Ok, so it probably won't bring you fame and fortune. But it could be enjoyable and you just might win. Wait! Before you hit that back button, check it out. All it takes is an e-mail with CONTEST in the subject line to: mweberle@usa.net. Please include submissions in the body of the e-mail message. If you must submit them as attachments please submit only plain or ASCII text files. Most Word Processing programs should have a Save as text option. If you do not wish to receive a reply via the e-mail address used to enter or prefer an alternate e-mail address, please let me know.See below for more information on the current contest and prizes.

First prize for the current contest will be a year's subscription to a worthy poetry journal, selected to match the tone and style of the submitted poem.
Second and Third prize-winners will each receive a book selected in accordance with the tone of the winning submissions.
Closing date for this contest will depend on the volume and quality of the responses received. However, it is expected to run at least until August 1st.

Currently accepting open submissions of unpublished rich, visceral poetry. Make me feel! All rights except one-time publication at this web site revert to the author. Simultaneous submissions ok. I will read the first three poems in any e-mail I receive. I might read the others, and then, I might not. Just write.

I've had a number of submissions up to this point. However, I assure you that as long as you speak with your own personal voice, there is still room for you. Please submit a poem or three. At this point August 1st looks to be the cut-off date.-Matthew( 7/18/97)
